My love of beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake led me to create the Secret Garden Cottage! It is my happy place, and I am honoured to share it with you. THE MAIN FLOOR: My guests tell me that the highlight of the home is the Garden Room, perfect for enjoying your morning hot drink, or a complimentary glass of wine in the afternoon or evening. From here you get to enjoy the birds and wildlife, as well as the expansive 3-tiered Secret Garden, with constantly changing colours throughout the seasons. The Kitchen and pantry are incredibly well-stocked with cooking and baking supplies (so many oils, vinegars, spices and more!), and an adjoining Dining Room has an expandable table with 6 chairs. There is also a washer and dryer located behind a door in the Kitchen, with laundry detergent provided. Another of this two-floor cottage's unique features is the Music Room, with an office space, an upright Kawai piano, and a sofa that can be prepared in advance as a double sofa bed, making it the 3rd Bedroom with blackout blinds, ensuring quality sleep. (Sofa bed details are below.) The comfortable Living Room contains a multitude of games, books and puzzles for all ages, and a large screen Smart TV with an Amazon Fire Stick. There is also a Powder Room conveniently located on this floor. UPSTAIRS: There are two bedrooms with quality queen size beds. Both rooms have blackout blinds. The Primary also has a love seat that can be set up as a twin sofa bed. (Sofa bed details are below.) The spacious Bathroom with combined tub/shower, toilet and sink offers plenty of counter space, with complimentary safe and clean Canadian Rocky Mountain Soap Co. hand and body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, as well as plenty of towels. WHAT YOU'LL FIND OUTSIDE: 🏡 3 tiers of beautiful trees, bushes, and flowers that bloom at different times throughout the warmer months, providing stunning colours. 🏡 A table and four chairs on the back deck, as well as comfortable Muskoka-style chairs in the 2nd tier. 🏡 I attend to the garden weekly, including the vegetable garden at the very back of the property. 🏡 2 bicycles are located at the shed at the back of the garden, saving you having to rent them elsewhere! 🏡 A large BBQ for your use. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: 1) 7 people is the maximum number of guests that the Secret Garden can accommodate comfortably. 2) A Portacrib with accompanying sheets for babies and toddlers is available upon request. As well, a portable high chair can be provided. 3) SOFA BEDS: If you require the use of either one, there is an additional charge of $50 per night per bed. They are prepared in advance of your arrival (with cozy bedding, extra pillows, and an extra mattress to make the beds very comfortable), and then dismantled following your departure.
